PAWTUCKET – Foolproof Brewing Co., New England’s latest addition to the craft brewing scene, has launched its hand-crafted beers in bars across Rhode Island.

Foolproof, formerly High Jinx Brewing Co., produces three year-round beers and a limited line of high-end specialty beers that rotate throughout the year.

“We are thrilled to introduce our unique and flavorful brews to beer lovers across Rhode Island,” Foolproof President and Founder Nick Garrison, said in prepared remarks. “At Foolproof, we craft each of our brews with a sacred beer drinking experience in mind.”

According to a Foolproof release, Barstool, an American golden ale is dedicated to nights out at the bar, whereas Raincloud is a robust porter for rainy days and Backyahd is an India pale ale perfect for outdoor activities and barbequing.

Foolproof’s beers are available in select bars across Rhode Island. The brewery plans to introduce 12-ounce cans to the market before the end of January. The company is currently working with C&C Distributors and plans to expand its presence into Massachusetts, Connecticut and across New England before expanding on a national level.

Garrison, who was awarded $50 in the 2011 R.I. Business Plan Competition for the brewing company, is joined by Brewmaster Damase Olsson, a graduate of the World Brewing Academy and formerly of Pennichuck Brewing Co., and sales manager Kyle Pauly, formerly of the Berkshire Brewing Co. and Ithaca Beer Co.

Starting on Friday, Jan. 4, the Foolproof team will offer six one-hour tours per week of its Pawtucket-based brewery. Tours of the 241 Grotto Ave. facility will be held on Fridays from 4 – 5 p.m. and Saturdays at 12, 1, 2 and 3 p.m.

For $10, patrons receive a tour of the brewery, overview of the beer and brewing process, a sampling of the beers and a souvenir glass.
