Foresight signs MOU with Skolkovo Technopark

PROVIDENCE – Global consultancy Foresight Science and Technology Inc., has signed a memorandum of Understanding with the Moscow-based Skolkovo Technopark to provide commercialization services to companies located in the premier Russian tech park.

Under the terms of the deal, the services will include market research, licensing and global product sales.

“We are excited about this partnership. With over 700 member companies in the Skolkovo Project right now and with a total of over 800 likely by the end of the year, the collaboration with Foresight will provide new and important capabilities for expansion of these companies into international tech markets,” Maxim Kiselev, chief development officer for the Technopark, said in a statement.

Foresight has been helping universities, corporations, governments and other institutions identify commercial viably outputs of research and development, manage their intellectual property and license inventions for the last 33 years.

“Russian science and engineering is creating one of the great untapped pools of technology-based intellectual property and products,” Foresight CEO Phyl Speser said in prepared remarks. “Yet much of Russian technology is unknown elsewhere in the world. Our partnership with the Skolkovo Technopark gives us feet on the ground in the leading nexus of the innovation renaissance occurring in Russia.”

“We are excited about adding this rich pipeline to our licensing and sales portfolio,” added Speser. “At the same time, we have a number of customers elsewhere in the world that will benefit from collaborations with, and licenses and sales to, Russian firms and research institutions.”
