Posted 11/23/12

EAST PROVIDENCE – The Rhode Island Foster Parents Association has rebranded as Foster Forward with a new name, new look and new logo to promote its mission to empower lives through impacted by foster care.

The nonprofit is hosting a press event and brand launch on Dec. 4 and promises to keep partners, supporters, families, and friends updated throughout the transition which it says will not affect its work and programming.

Based in East Providence, the association is a nationally recognized organization that works to ensure that children and youth impacted by foster care have safe, healthy, and nurturing families and strives to be a valued and credible source of information, advocacy, and resources.

Programs included those that focus on mentorships, life skills, foster parent support groups, and after care for young adults who have been released from the foster care system.
