PROVIDENCE – The Founders League, a group connecting Rhode Island’s startup community by offering space and programming for entrepreneurs, has announced that its six-month launch phase has ended, and that 100 new memberships are now available.

According to an announcement on the league’s website, since January, 40 startups have joined, 60 entrepreneurs have used the co-working space and more than 300 others have attended events.

Launch-phase participants, who ranged from “students to seasoned vets,” helped the league to narrow down what members of the community want most. They also assisted in the design and activation of the 9,000-square-foot co-working space.

In celebration of its success, the Founders League has expanded its capacity and rolled out new types of memberships, including options that meet different needs for companies who might be on a fast-growth trajectory, or for those just getting started. Options range in price from $150 to $500 per month. Annual and quarterly options are also available.

Perks of membership include members-only programming, startup support and access to co-working community space, which includes open seating and amenities such as a conference room, printer, wireless Internet and kitchenette.

The Founders League was established in October by Betaspring, the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, Brown University and the University of Rhode Island, with the goal of strengthening Rhode Island’s entrepreneurial environment by expanding programs for high-growth startups and entrepreneurs.

The Founders League builds on a program that was initially launched by the R.I. Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
