Four W&I nurse-midwives receive national recognition

PROVIDENCE – Four certified nurse midwives at Women & Infants Hospital recently received the Clinical Star Award recognizing 25 or more years of service each as well as excellence and mentoring in their profession.

The recipients of the honor were: Diane Angelini, Debra Erickson-Owens, Judith Mercer, and Linda Nanni. They were named during the recent National Midwifery Week.

“It’s providers like Diane, Deb, Judy and Linda who dedicate so much of their professional lives to nursing excellence that make Women & Infants the model in midwifery and all nursing disciplines when it comes to the care of women and newborns,” said Angelleen Peters-Lewis, chief nursing officer and senior vice president of patient services at Women & Infants Hospital.
