Freelance personal trainer, most recently for Gold’s Gym.

Reason for opening:

I wanted to do my own thing for the longest time and I hadn’t found something that was the right fit for me. I went to a fitness business summit on the West Coast and that’s where I learned about Fit Body Boot Camp. I had looked at other franchises … and even the larger-scale gyms, but I decided this was the best fit for me.

‘I love helping people achieve their goals and see great results. … There is nothing better than seeing someone step on the scale and do a fist pump because they lost 10 pounds.’

‘Help people get results and it spreads like wildfire. My best billboards are the people that come in here and get great results – then they tell their friends about it and so on.’

‘I run challenges regularly to keep people engaged in the program. Like whoever loses the most weight, or increases their pushups the most gets $100.’ •
