Additional Info

Join us for an informal presentation of in-progress material and conversation with the artists.

Freedom Project is a multi-year examination of issues related to mass incarceration in America. This work will culminate in a multidisciplinary theater production that will premier at Brown University in March 2015. Freedom Project aims to bring people who have been marginalized by the criminal justice system out of the shadows, and to use their stories to shed light on the many injustices perpetrated within this system.

This is a personal journey for Everett’s artists who all have close friends and family members who have spent time in prison.

This event is part of the creation of Freedom Project and partial funding comes from Brown University Creative Arts Council and Department of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies.
