St. Vincent’s was recently named the recipient of a $2,500 donation from the Friends of St. Anne’s. St. Vincent’s is an accredited child and family organization that provides behavioral health, special education and related support services to more than 200 children and their families. The funds will be used to support St. Vincent’s aid to victims of childhood abuse and trauma.
“There is no greater cause than ensuring the well-being of children and families,” said Jack Weldon, executive director of St. Vincent’s. “We are grateful to the Friends of St. Anne’s for their support of our efforts to help children and youth heal and grow.”
The Friends of St. Anne’s, which was founded more than 50 years ago, became a separate nonprofit when St. Anne’s Hospital was acquired by Steward Health Care.
“The Friends of St, Anne’s is proud to support St. Vincent’s with this donation,” said Helinette Souza, president, Friends of St. Anne’s. “The Friends are committed to the welfare of our community, particularly the children.” &#8226
