During December nights, the moon sits above the horizon for a longer amount of time, which the Farmers’ Almanac refers to as “the full cold moon,” “the full long nights moon” and sometimes “the moon before Yule.” Regardless of what you call it, those hoping to get a good view can join the Glocester Land Trust Friday evening for a one-hour walk under the stars. The walk will be held at Harmony’s Steere Hill trail and followed by a marshmallow roast. Participants should bundle up, wear appropriate footwear and bring a flashlight.
