G-Form named Edison Awards finalist

PROVIDENCE – G-Form LLC, the maker of impact-absorbing Reactive Protection Technology for athletes and electronic devices, has been named as a 2013 finalist of the Edison Awards.

G-Form’s RPT is being recognized as a finalist in the material science: composites category, one of 12 categories honored by the internationally recognized Edison Awards.

“The G-Form team has worked extremely hard for several years developing and testing our state-of-the-art Reactive Protection Technology,” Daniel Wyner, CEO of G-Form, said in prepared remarks. “We are honored to have our accomplishments recognized by an organization as prestigious as the Edison Awards program.”

The Edison Awards are designed to symbolize “the persistence and excellence personified by Thomas A. Edison,” according to a release. More than 3,000 professionals from the fields of product development, design, engineering, science, marketing and education come together to determine the finalists’ success.

“More than any year, this year’s slate of finalists demonstrate the enormous value of teamwork, experimentation, consumer focus, market awareness and game-changing success,” Frank Bonafilia, Edison Awards’ executive director, said in prepared remarks. “It’s exciting to see companies like G-Form continuing Thomas Edison’s legacy of challenging conventional thinking.”

Award winners will be announced at an awards gala on April 25, held in the Grand Ballroom at historic Navy Pier in Chicago.
