GEM SEMINARS

Frank Crandall, a horticultural-business consultant, will host the 10th annual Growth, Effectiveness, Management (GEM) horticultural business seminar to take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9 and Thursday, Jan. 10 at the Greater Westerly-Pawcatuck Chamber of Commerce, 1 Chamber Way Westerly.

Topics to be discussed include estimating, company finances, sales techniques, employees, management tips, marketing, seasonal cash-flow planning, mistakes to avoid and more. Cost: $395, includes lunches and copy of “The Essential Horticultural Business Handbook.”
