GTECH continues Wisconsin, Kentucky lottery contracts

PROVIDENCE – GTECH Corp. has signed new contract extensions with the Wisconsin Lottery and Kentucky Lottery, guaranteeing additional years of technical support and millions of dollars more in revenue, GTECH SpA, its parent company, announced this week.
A two-year contract extension means GTECH will provide lottery technology to the Wisconsin Lottery through June 25, 2015, continuing a relationship that has existed since the lottery formed in 1988. And a separate three-year contract extension ensures the same types of services for the Kentucky Lottery through July 10, 2021.
The Wisconsin extension is expected to bring in roughly $25 million to $27 million in additional revenue. The Kentucky extension will yield about $40 million.
The support GTECH provides includes operation of ticketing systems, hotlines, communications networks and lottery terminals.
Part of the contract extension with the Kentucky Lottery is GTECH’s provision of equipment for Kentucky’s new Keno games, which it expects to roll out to retail outlets this year and eventually spread to more than 700 locations.
