GTECH parent tapped for Canadian gaming work

PROVIDENCE – Lottomatica Group S.p.A, the parent company of GTECH Corp., said its subsidiary Spielo International Canada ULC was selected by Canada’s Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission to provide its Distributed Game Management module, in addition to its Intelligen video lottery terminal central system.

Spielo announced in July 2011 that its Intelligen system was selected for a five-year contract after a competitive procurement process.

On Nov. 8, 2011, Spielo also signed a multi-year contract to provide the Alberta markets with new VLTs and a set of VLT games.

“We’re pleased to enhance the functionality of AGLC’s INTELLIGEN Central System with our Distributed Game Management module, which will provide AGLC with increased efficiency and decreased game deployment costs,” said SPIELO International President and CEO Walter Bugno.
