PROVIDENCE – GTECH Corp., wholly owned subsidiary of Lottomatica Group S.p.A., has signed a one-year contract extension with the Arizona Lottery.

Under the extension, GTECH will continue working with the lottery to provide technology and ongoing services through Aug. 30, 2015.

“GTECH has worked in close partnership with the Arizona Lottery for nearly three decades,” GTECH President and CEO Jaymin B. Patel said in prepared remarks.

“Over that time, we have assisted the Arizona Lottery in growing revenues to benefit good causes, as well as expanding and optimizing the Lottery’s retailer base, and introducing self-service lottery vending and other enhanced technology,” added Patel. “We look forward to our continued collaboration in the years to come.”

Arizona Lottery’s Executive Director Jeff Hatch-Miller lauded GTECH’s past service in a statement. “Their technical and logistical support has enabled us to act more strategically, enhancing key products offerings, and better meeting player expectations,’ said Hatch-Miller. “These strategic actions, coupled with day-to-day operational support, have contributed greatly to the Lottery’s record-breaking sales, essential to our mission of increasing critical funding for our beneficiaries, a variety of state programs that enrich the lives of Arizona residents.”

Under the extension, GTECH will provide the lottery with the operation and maintaenence of the central system and IP-communications network, as well as field services and hotline management for the Lottery’s 2,800 retailers.
