PROVIDENCE – GTECH has signed a four-year instant-printing lottery contract with Maryland Lottery.

“GTECH is pleased to have the opportunity to work with the Maryland Lottery,” said Alan Eland, GTECH North America’s senior vice president and chief operating officer, in a release. “We look forward to working closely with the Lottery to deliver new and exciting game content, enhancing its instant ticket portfolio, and assisting with new strategies to increase sales.”

The contract, GTECH’s first with Maryland Lottery, was awarded to GTECH following a competitive bidding process. The agreement includes one three-year extension with the same terms and conditions of the initial contract, under which GTECH will serve as a secondary provider of instant-ticket printing services for the lottery

“GTECH has established itself as a key player in the instant-ticket printing industry over the past several years, and the Maryland Lottery is excited to have the opportunity to work with them,” said Stephen Martino, director of the Maryland Lottery, in a release. “We are confident that GTECH will be able to provide us with new and innovative instant tickets to help generate revenue to help support the good causes for the state of Maryland.”

GTECH is a leading operator and provider of gaming technology to regulated worldwide gaming markets.
