PROVIDENCE – Gasoline prices in Rhode Island and Massachusetts are unchanged from last week, AAA Northeast said Monday.
AAA Northeast said self-serve, regular unleaded is averaging $2.24 per gallon, while the same grade is averaging $2.20 in Massachusetts.
Rhode Island’s price is 5 cents below the national average of $2.29. A year ago at this time, the average price in Rhode Island was 43 cents lower at $1.81. Massachusetts’ price is 9 cents below the national average. Last year at this time, the average price in the Bay State was $1.74.
In Rhode Island, prices for unleaded regular range from $2.13 to $2.36, with midgrade unleaded at $2.52; premium unleaded, $2.69; and diesel, $2.53.
In Massachusetts, prices for unleaded regular range from $2.07 to $2.39, with midgrade unleaded at $2.46; premium unleaded, $2.61; and diesel, $2.57.
