PROVIDENCE – Hotelier Mark Gervais has been named general manager of the Providence Biltmore.
Gervais will oversee daily operations of the historic downtown hotel, which has 294 rooms and has been newly renovated, according to Finard Properties, which owns and operates the hotel.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the wonderful team at the iconic Providence Biltmore,” said Gervais. “The hotel has recently undergone extensive renovations and has become a proud member of Hilton Worldwide’s exciting new brand – Curio. I look forward to becoming an active participant in the Providence community.”
Gervais joins the Biltmore from the Hotel Viking, where he led two extensive renovations. Before that, he was the general manager of the Westin/Waltham Boston. He has held executive positions in a dozen different cities with Starwood, Doubletree and Hyatt hotel chains.
