Goodwill Industries of Rhode Island celebrates its 150th anniversary of helping improve the lives of Rhode Island’s most vulnerable citizens on Nov. 9 with A Night of Stars Gala at Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown.

Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., will be honored as the organization’s “Community Champion” for his contributions to the state and its citizens. Also honored at the gala will be clients who have overcome the odds to get back on their feet, with the help of individualized assessment, training programs and the organization’s employment model.

Also recognized will be several Rhode Island businesses who have partnered with Goodwill Industries graduates to help them turn on the “Power of Work” through work experiences, employment, or financial support.

Tickets are $125 each and available at www.goodwillri.eventbrite.com. For more information, contact Jeffrey Machado, CEO, at 401-861-2080, ext. 130.
