Green council to honor projects

WARWICK – The U.S. Green Building Council Rhode Island chapter is scheduled to honor the best environmentally friendly construction projects in the state at its annual meeting Wednesday, March 21.
The keynote speaker at the event will be John Kelly, vice chairman of the Interstate 195 Redevelopment Commission and President and CEO of Meeting Street.
The 5 p.m. event will be held at the New England Institute of Technology’s new building in East Greenwich, which has achieved LEED Silver Standard certification from the nonprofit Green Building Council. There will be a tour of the new East Greenwich campus.
