HOPKINGTON – GreenBytes Inc., developer of cloud-scale IO-offload solutions, has been named the winning Virtualization Trailblazer in the inaugural 2012 Tech Trailblazers Awards, the company announced Wednesday.
The Tech Trailblazers Awards are designed to recognize and reward startup innovation in enterprise technology from around the world.
GreenBytes won the Virtualization Trailblazer category in recognition of its IO Offload Engine, a cloud-scale desktop virtualization solution that allows organizations to cost effectively meet demanding virtualization performance requirements using their existing storage architectures.
“GreenBytes is absolutely thrilled to win the top prize in the Virtualization category at the first-annual Tech Trailblazers Awards,” Richard Petrocelli, founder and director of GreenBytes, said in prepared remarks. “This recognition further validates our ongoing efforts to pave the way for cloud-scale desktop virtualization adoption, with a clear focus on delivering a full-featured virtual desktop environment that is second to none in performance and end-user experience.”
The award winners were chosen by the voting public and a judging panel and were announced via Twitter on Tuesday, Dec. 18.
“Winners of this year’s Tech Trailblazers Awards are some of the most inventive and visionary enterprise tech startups in the world today,” said Rose Ross, “chief trailblazer,” in a statement. “I’m sure we will be hearing more from them all in the future.”
