Greenwich Odeum reopening celebration to feature local artists

EAST GREENWICH – The Greenwich Odeum, which closed after the Station Nightclub fire in light of stringent new fire code regulations, is reopening its doors on Saturday, Jan. 26, with a celebration that includes local performing artists.

“The theater will once again take its place among the state’s premier performing arts venue, providing an economic boost to the area, and considerable social, cultural and educational opportunities,” said an Odeum release.

Tickets for the opening are $30 and the event will feature Ritchee Price, Phoebe Madden, Skip Healy, Chris Jason as Frank Sinatra, Mixed Magic, Refined 313 and Larry Brown’s Swinglane Orchestra.

The Odeum also released a list of upcoming shows, including jazz saxophonist Phil Woods on Feb. 9, Chris Janson as Frank Sinatra on Feb. 16, Enrique Garzilli during the weekend of Feb. 22 and 23, Celtic group Cherish the Ladies on March 10, and Cleveland Signstage Theater’s production of “Ugly Duckling” on April 14.
