Blithewold Mansion, Gardens and Arboretum is offering two chances for gardeners to explore its greenhouses. During a “behind-the-scenes” propagation workshop, guests will learn what’s growing in the mansion’s restored 1901 Lord & Burnham greenhouse, and get information on propagation, seed starting and cultivation of some of Blithewold’s specimen collection plants. Additional topics such as fertilizing, cut backs and insect control, will also be covered during the hands-on sessions. If they wish, participants can take home selected seeds, plants and cuttings from the gardens.
