The Rhode Island Green Building Council will host an advanced hydronic technologies seminar to focus on chilled beams in HVAC systems for today’s high-energy performance buildings at the Taco Inc. Innovation and Development Center, 1160 Cranston St., Cranston.
The course will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Instructor Richard Medairos, vice president of RDK Engineering, will cover the theory behind how chilled beams function, how they affect comfort, energy and cost savings, and which control technologies are available to monitor and manage these systems. Participants will earn one CEU.
Course includes a tour of Taco’s Innovation and Development Center. Cost: free for Rhode Island Green Building Council members seeking CEUs, $10 nonmembers and council members not seeking CEUs.
