Habsro hospital nets $7K from tourney

EAST GREENWICH – Three real estate professionals recently presented a check for $7,000 raised at a golf tournament to Hasbro Children’s Hospital on behalf of Re/Max agents across Rhode Island.
Co-broker and owner David Iannuccilli of Re/Max Professionals; Richard Zompa, broker owner of RE/MAX Preferred; and Glenn Carpenter, agent of Re/Max Professionals, made the check presentation.
“The inspiration behind this annual tradition began when some of our Re/Max agents, who are also avid golfers, set out to help raise money for children’s charities,” said David Iannuccilli. “From there, the tournament has grown each year and became an integral part of the culture at RE/MAX that we look forward to each year.”
This year, nearly 150 golfers supported the Open Charity Golf Tournament, now in its 28th year, at Potowomut Country Club. In total, the annual tournament has raised close to $100,000 for Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
“We are so grateful for the ongoing generosity of Re/Max in Rhode Island and their dedication to the health and well-being of our patients,” said Tracey Wallace, vice president of pediatric services at the hospital. “The funds they raised will be instrumental in supporting programs that help make a hospital stay as comfortable as possible for each child and family in our care.”
The golf tournament is just one of many community initiatives that Re/Max agents throughout Rhode Island participate in throughout the year.
“We are so proud of our agents,” said Dan Breault, executive vice president and regional director of Re/Max of New England. “At Re/Max, we strongly support giving back to the community and encourage our agents to raise funds for worthy organizations like Hasbro Children’s Hospital, and all the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.”
