PROVIDENCE – Douglas Hall has joined the staff of the Economic Progress Institute as its new director of economic and fiscal policy, the organization said Thursday.

“We are thrilled to have Doug join the EPI team,” Rachel Flum, the institute’s executive
Director, said in a statement. “Doug’s expertise will strengthen our advocacy to ensure the state has adequate revenue to support education, health care, workforce development and other vital public services.”

The institute, in a news release, said that Hall is returning to state-based work after five years at the Economic Policy Institute as director of the economic analysis and research network.

“Doug’s experience at EARN and his broad knowledge of strategies in other states will enhance our efforts to ensure Rhode Islanders can meet their basic needs and achieve upward mobility,” Flum said.
