Hasbro No. 2 on list of most transparent, responsible companies

PAWTUCKET – Hasbro Inc. recently was named the second-most transparent and responsible company in the nation, according to the 100 Best Corporate Citizens List of 2015, produced by Corporate Responsibility Magazine. CVS Health Corp. came in at No. 29 on the list.
The company, headquartered in Pawtucket, came in just behind Microsoft Corp. The list is based on public information on the companies in areas including employee relations, environment, human rights, philanthropy and community support. The information is not based on self-reporting, according to the publisher.
According to the magazine, the top 10 for 2015 are: Microsoft Corp., Hasbro Inc., Johnson & Johnson, Xerox Corp., Sigma-Aldrich Corp., Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., Intel Corp., Campbell Soup Co., Ecolab Inc. and Lockheed Martin Corp.
The list ranks the Russell 1000 index, according to a press release.
In addition to Hasbro and CVS, companies with significant operations in Rhode Island that made the list include:

  • Pepsico Inc., No. 55
  • Raytheon Co., No. 56
  • Eaton Corp. PLC, No. 65
  • Verizon Communications, No. 89
  • Metlife Inc., No. 100
