Hasbro signs lease on Providence office space

PROVIDENCE – Pawtucket-based toy-maker Hasbro Inc. has finalized a lease for 135,908 square feet of office space at 15 LaSalle Square in downtown Providence, the company and owner of the building, Berkeley Investments of Boston, announced Thursday.

The new lease runs for 12 years, a news release said.

The companies first announced they were discussing a deal over the space, across the street from the Dunkin Donuts Center, one of the former offices to house Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island, in May of last year.

“Hasbro is an outstanding partner, and the perfect fit for the burgeoning Providence Knowledge District. Berkeley is delighted to ink this deal with such a long-standing and successful company,” stated Young K. Park, President of Berkeley Investments Inc. “The site is centrally located and prominently visible. Hasbro is the perfect complement to our recent long-term lease to 38 Studios LLC, Curt Schillings’ gaming company, at our 1 Empire St. property in Providence.”
