HASBRO AND Ubisoft will release the Hasbro Game Channel on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 video game consoles this fall, offering digital versions of Hasbro's classic boardgames including Monopoly and Risk.

PAWTUCKET – Hasbro Inc. and video game publisher Ubisoft this week announced the upcoming launch of a digital Hasbro Game Channel that will allow consumers to download Hasbro-brand games such as Monopoly and Trivial Pursuit on next-generation game consoles.

“We have worked closely with Ubisoft on the development of the Hasbro Game Channel, which will bring family and friends together for a fun and social gaming experience with their favorite brands,” said Mark Blecher, senior vice president of digital gaming and corporate development for Hasbro.

Beginning this fall, the Hasbro Game Channel will be available to download on Microsoft’s Xbox One console and Sony’s PlayStation 4 with a lineup of Hasbro games to include Monopoly Plus, Risk and Trivial Pursuit Live.

All games will also be available for download individually on the older Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles, Hasbro said, bringing classic games into the digital age with “both familiar and new gameplay modes, various missions, achievements and rewards.”

“The new console games will allow players to connect and play with others, not just in their living rooms, but around the world,” Blecher said.
