Health care college meets, recognizes members

WARWICK – The American College of Healthcare Executives Rhode Island chapter recently held its yearly meeting, giving out five awards and tapping new leadership.

A number of members of the college’s local chapter received awards. Edward Schottland received the ACHE Service Award; Ann Daniels received the Distinguished Service Award; Lieutenant Commander Lisa White received the Regent’s Early Careerist Award; Myra Edens won the Regent’s Senior Executive Award; and Dr. Kathleen Hittner won the Career Achievement Award.

Jennifer Tomasik was elected president of the chapter. The mission of the ACHE RI Chapter is to advance healthcare leadership and management excellence; to promote high ethical standards and conduct; to promote the mission of the ACHE for its members; and to meet its members’ professional, educational and leadership needs.
