Hedge Fund Association forms advisory board

NEW YORK – The Hedge Fund Association has formed a new academic advisory board to educate students about the industry. Hedge fund managers and investors will be guest speakers on campuses across the country, including ones in Rhode Island.
“I am excited the Hedge Fund Association has taken this step…to teach students about the hedge fund industry while they are in college and graduate school, and to inspire them to be informed investors and money managers,” said the association’s president Mitch Ackles.
“I am honored to work with our top-tier members, all experts in the hedge fund industry, from money managers, investors, and educators, to empower college and graduate students to learn about the hedge fund industry, as well as finance and ethics,” said board chairman Keith Novick.
The group is planning to hold educational events on Rhode Island campuses, although no date has been set, said Novick.
The Hedge Fund Association is an international nonprofit organization of hedge funds, funds of hedge funds, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, financial advisors, service providers and students.
