JOHNSTON – Hobbs Brook Management LLC recently held a walk-through event unveiling what will be a major overhaul to the former FM Global offices at 1301 Atwood Ave. in Johnston.
Hayes & Sherry, a Cushman & Wakefield Alliance member, is the commercial broker representing the property – named Northwoods – for Hobbs Brook Management, which is a division of FM Global that owns the property and has already begun renovations.
The renovations are expected to total more than $60 million and be completed in the fall of 2014.
According to a release from Hayes & Sherry, the project consists of a complete remodel of the building’s exterior with a new glass curtain wall and metal panels, a state-of-the art data connectivity system, and an installation of all new HVAC and electrical systems.
Margulies Perruzzi Architects will lead the design process and Dimeo Construction will act as construction manager.
Once completed, the Northwoods facility will provide 338,600 square feet of “highly efficient” office space that includes amenities such as a full-service cafeteria with access to outdoor dining, a health and exercise facility, and meeting space for building occupants.
