BOSTON – Single-family home sales in Bristol County, Mass. dropped 1 percent in September compared with the same period last year, The Warren Group said Thursday.
There were 251 houses sold in Bristol County last month, down from 253 in September 2011.
The median sale price took a larger dip last month, 7 percent, compared with last September.
The median sale price of Bristol County houses in September was $217,000, down from $232,500 in September 2011.
Statewide, year-over-year sales rose 8 percent in September and the median sale price fell 4 percent to $277,000.
In other areas of the market, Bristol County condominium sales rose 53 percent in September compared with September 2011. There were 52 condo sold last month, up from 34 last September.
The median Bristol County condominium sale price increased 15 percent year over year to $156,000 last month from $136,250 in 2011.
Massachusetts condominium sales rose 23 percent in September compared with last year while the median condo sales price fell less than 1 percent, from $275,450 to $275,000.
