Honda dealership begins renovation

MIDDLETOWN – Construction on a new renovated Saccucci Honda dealership at 1350 West Main Road has begun, New England Construction has announced.
The project, estimated to cost $3 million, includes demolition of the old showroom and construction of a new showroom, and new service area along with renovation and expansion of the old service area. Saccucci is also adding on and renovating its parts storage area.
The new finished showroom will be 33,853 square feet, 19,325 square feet of it new and 14,528 renovated. The design calls for a mezzanine, office space and a conference room attached to the showroom.
The project is expected to be finished by June 2012.
New England Construction of East Providence built and designed the renovated dealership with Regent Associates of Westborough, Mass., providing architectural services.
