The Rhode Island Council for the Humanities invites nonprofit organizations to apply for funding in support of public humanities projects for the state of Rhode Island.
Fall Major Grant 5 p.m. deadlines include filing the Intent to Apply Registration Form on or before Sept. 3, filing the Grant Application Draft for Staff Review (optional) by Sept. 24 and the final application by Oct. 15.
To be considered in this grant cycle, applicants must submit the Intent to Apply form online. The form is non-binding, but is a required first step for all major grant applications. Late registrations and applications will not be accepted. This cycle will be the only major grant opportunity until the fall of 2014.
Award notifications will take place in mid-December. Projects must begin on or after January 1, 2014.
Arts & cultural organizations must fulfill the Rhode Island Cultural Data Project requirement as part of a major grant application. The CDP will offer live orientation sessions in September.
