IGT creates mobile player convenience apps

PROVIDENCE – New mobile player convenience apps have been developed by International Global Solutions Corp., a subsidiary of IGT previously known as GTECH, for the Rhode Island Lottery and Tennessee Lottery Corp.

IGT, in a news release, said each app is individually branded for the lotteries, giving players access to real-time lottery information, such as jackpot data, winning numbers, lottery retailers, instant games information and responsible gaming details.

Each app features a “check my ticket” function enabling players to scan both instant tickets and draw tickets with their mobile devices to find out if they are a winner.

“As consumers’ reliance on their mobile devices continues to grow, so does IGT’s commitment to innovation in the mobile space,” Michael Chambrello, CEO of North America Lottery for IGT, said in a statement.

“IGT is committed to ensuring that our customers have access to the most advanced lottery technologies for their players. The Rhode Island Lottery and the Tennessee Lottery Corporation are longtime IGT customers, and we are confident that their evolution in the mobile space with these convenience apps will help them maximize income for their states and enhance funding for good causes,” Chambrello said.

Gerald S. Aubin, Rhode Island Lottery director, said the app puts “helpful retailer location details and comprehensive Rhode Island Lottery information in the palm of players’ hands anytime, anywhere.”

The apps are free and accessible through the Apple Store on iTunes for iOS and the Google Play Store for Android.
