IGT inks Texas contract extension

PROVIDENCE – Global gaming company International Game Technology PLC recently signed a contract extension with the Texas Lottery Commission.
IGT will continue to provide Texas lottery operations and services through Aug. 31, 2026, according to a statement from IGT. The company — which has over 12,000 employees — has been partnering with the state since the Texas Lottery began in 1992.
The extension means IGT will continue to provide the state with lottery central systems, data-center operations, field sales organization and other services, said IGT.
“The contract extension positions us to continue to produce record revenue for Texas education and veterans,” J. Winston Krause, Texas Lottery Commission chairman, said. “We appreciate the outstanding job IGT has performed as the lottery operator for the state of Texas.”
