PROVIDENCE – International Game Technology PLC recently unveiled a new computer lab at Nashville, Tenn.-based In Full Motion Inc. in support of its after-school program.
The donation is part of a worldwide program IGT began in 1999 to serve at-risk youth in communities where the gaming company has offices.
As part of IGT’s $14,000 donation, the nonprofit In Full Motion received 14 desktop computers, monitors, a Dell laptop, a printer and learning software.
IGT Tennessee employees helped In Full Motion Inc. set up the computer lab.
Said Chris Shaban, regional vice president of IGT, “Through this donation, students are granted access to a powerful combination of educational resources and state-of-the-art technology. IGT is proud to continue to support the local youth in Nashville.”
In Full Motion’s after-school program is known as “The Prep Academy,” an ACT preparation, mentoring and tutorial program for at-risk youth.
IGT is the technology partner to the Tennessee Education Lottery, which provided funding for 73 after-school programs during 2015-16, serving 17,311 students throughout the state.
