IYRS School of Technology & Trades debuts new branding campaign: ‘Extreme Assembly Required’

NEWPORT – The IYRS School of Technology & Trades is embarking on a new branding campaign, “Extreme Assembly Required.”

The campaign reflects the school’s evolution from its founding roots in the marine industry to a career-focused experiential learning school for craftspeople.

“We wanted to develop messaging and visuals that support the momentum of the growth and evolution IYRS is currently experiencing, really highlighting the character traits of our students and the feeling of accomplishment they have as they learn, make, innovate and problem-solve,” Josh Singer, marketing manager for IYRS, said in a statement. “Extreme Assembly Required, which works together with other traits and emotions seen in the campaign such as imagination, passion and artistry, goes beyond what specific item or product is built in our shops and classrooms. It focuses on what makes our students, and ultimately our school, unique. No one else is doing what IYRS does.”
Michael Cameron, director of admissions and marketing for IYRS, said the success of the campaign will largely be measured by the type of students the school attracts.
The campaign begins in Rhode Island in early April and will be publicized through IYRS’s social media network. The IYRS community will take “Extreme Assembly Required” to social media using #AssemblyRequired.
