EAST PROVIDENCE – Infusion Resource LLC has secured a $250,000 loan from the R.I. Small Business Loan Fund that will help the expanding home health care company hire between 15 and 25 new employees over the next year, Infusion CEO Bernard Lambrese said Monday.
Infusion Resource was founded in 2008 to provide out-patient intravenous medication therapy and has now grown to around 100 full and part-time employees split between the company’s East Providence headquarters and a second office in Waltham, Mass.
As it has grown, Infusion Resource has expanded into Medicare home nursing support, management of clinical drug trials for pharmaceutical companies and medical device supply.
Lambrese said the company’s growth is expected to be across all divisions with medical supply and home health services, the two newest divisions, presenting the biggest immediate opportunities.
Infusion Resource will be hiring new workers in sales, the reimbursement department and clinical staff, Lambrese said, with the majority of the new workers being hired over the next year in Rhode Island.
In a news release, the R.I. Economic Development Corporation, which overseas the Small Business Loan Fund, said the $250,000 loan will directly help Infusion hire 13 new employees in Rhode Island.
