Michael D. Croft is trying to transform the learning marketplace.

The CEO of Volute Technologies Inc., founded last winter, is collaborating with local, national and international universities to develop an interactive learning platform designed specifically for executive education.

“There isn’t really anything in the market designed for executive education,” Croft told Providence Business News. “We’re strategically picking these innovative education institutions and trying to create something more cutting edge, specifically with executive education.”

Volute is already working with Rutgers University, Columbia University, Drexel University and Rhode Island College. The institutions, using Volute’s platform, will be able to create and license executive-education apps, which could then be mixed and matched with learning components from other institutions to build personalized learning experiences for executives throughout the world.

“We anticipate by July we’ll have several programs rolled out,” Croft said. •
