J.D. Power study lauds Rockland Trust service

ROCKLAND, Mass. – J.D. Power and Associates has announced that Rockland Trust ranked highest in its 2012 U.S. retail-banking satisfaction study among all New England banks. Rockland Trust earned a total score of 811 on a 1,000 point scale, a 22-point increase from the previous year.
The score exceeded the region’s by 82 points. The bank also exceeded the industry average score for ease-of-use, product offerings, problem resolution and fee structure.
The seventh-annual study surveyed more than 50,000 retail-banking customers about their experiences with their provider. The study asked participants to provide customer-satisfaction feedback based on numerous factors, including: account information, facilities, problem resolution and product offerings.
Through innovative products and services such as mDeposit, Rockland Trust’s mobile-banking app for smartphones featuring remote deposit, and Free Eco Checking, which offers rewards for debit-card purchases, Rockland Trust has focused on delivering greater convenience to its more than 125,000 retail households.
This is the latest in a series of accolades from third-party organizations for Rockland Trust. In addition to being recognized by J.D. Power and Associates, Independent Bank Corp., parent company of Rockland Trust, was named by Forbes as one of the nation’s Top 25 Healthiest Publicly Traded Banks, ranking 22nd out of 100 in the 2011list. &#8226
