CHICAGO – JPMorgan Chase Bank NA next week will begin accepting applications from small businesses looking to win $100,000 each.
The program, dubbed “Mission Main Street Grants,” comprises 20 grants made available to U.S. businesses that are at least two years old and employ less than 100 full-time employees.
Chase, a subsidiary of JPMorgan Chase & Co., will accept registration beginning May 4 and ending June 5, according to the bank.
To qualify, businesses must receive at least 250 votes via their Facebook account from friends, family, customers or fans willing to cast support. Upon reaching the benchmark, Chase’s “expert panelist” will select and announce 20 grant recipients in September.
No one from Rhode Island received a grant last year, according to the program’s website.
“The Mission Main Street Grants program is part of Chase’s commitment to help small businesses thrive,” according to a press release.
Business owners must be legal U.S. residents and at or above the age of majority in their state of residence. They must also have a valid U.S. employer identification or taxpayer identification number, according to the bank.
