JWU offers new arts, sciences programs

PROVIDENCE – Johnson & Wales University next fall will offer two new undergraduate-degree programs in the John Hazen White School of Arts & Sciences: communications and liberal studies.

The bachelor of science degree in communication studies will prepare students for a career in communications with an emphasis on media studies, writing skills, marketing, public relations, advertising, technical writing and law.

The bachelor of science degree in liberal studies will give students knowledge and experience in cultural studies, history, philosophy, the behavior sciences, math, and science. All students in this program will be required to minor in either general business or project management. •
