Jack J. McConnell Jr. has been elected to the board of directors at the Institute for the Study and Practice of Nonviolence. He is a judge on the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island. Previously, Judge McConnell was a trial attorney with the law firm Motley Rice in Providence. He holds a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. •
