Job fair to be held at Roger Williams Park Casino

PROVIDENCE – Providence Mayor Angel Taveras and Cranston Mayor Allan Fung will host a joint job fair for more than 80 area unemployed residents on Nov. 12 at 1 p.m. at Roger Williams Park Casino at 1000 Elmwood Ave.
There will be 26 businesses that are hiring at the Veterans, All Industry & Manufacturing event. It is the last in the 2014 series and the 19th joint job fair hosted by the mayors for the area’s unemployed. The job fairs have already served a total of more than 3,200 area residents and 527 businesses.

Representatives of Workforce Solutions of Providence/ Cranston, the Workforce Investment Board of Providence/ Cranston and Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce are partners in this effort. To register for the event, call 401-680-8570 or email salmeida@providenceri.com.
