KLR, Dezan Shira to educate manufacturers

PROVIDENCE – The accounting and business consulting firm KLR and the foreign direct-investment specialist firm Dezan Shira are presenting an educational series for manufacturers on “Doing Business in China: A U.S.and China Perspective,” according to an announcement by KLR.
The series will cover legal and tax issues, key aspects for establishing a manufacturing facility in China and human resources issues.
The first workshop in the series, “Legal and Tax Aspects of Doing Business in China, is scheduled for Wednesday, March 26 from 8 to 10 a.m. in KLR’s Waltham office. Presenters are Sabrina Zhang of Dezan Shira & Associates and Paul Oliveira, KLR director of corporate tax services. The session will
will cover the basics on repatriation of profits and what the indirect taxes in China are – including understanding VAT, custom duties and business tax.
