MIDDLETOWN – The National Marine Electronics Association has awarded its prestigious “Best Product Award” to KVH Industries Inc. in two categories: communications and entertainment.

KVH’s TracVision HD7 won the company the distinction for best entertainment product of the year and the company’s TrachPhone V3 won best communications product.

The National Marine Electronics Association is the global marine electronics industry’s trade association and is comprised of more than 600 companies including manufacturers, dealers and boat builders.

According to the company, this is the 14th consecutive year KVH won a best product award from the NMEA.

“We are thrilled to have won two awards at this year’s NMEA Convention,” Martin Kits van Heyningen, KVH’s CEO, said in a statement. “It’s always gratifying to us to win the recognition of our industry partners. There are no better judges for the real performance of marine electronics products than the knowledgeable NMEA dealers who are actually out there installing and supporting the equipment on a daily basis.”

“KVH invests a lot in training and supporting our global distribution channel to assure our products are professionally installed and supported, which helps us to deliver the best possible experience for our customers,” added Heyningen.

The TracVision HD7, which won the best entertainment product distinction, is a stabilized satellite antenna that works throughout the Americas to deliver both standard and high-definition television. Using Ku-band and Ka-band satellites.

The KVH TracPhone V3, winner of the best communications award, is the world’s smallest maritime VSAT antenna and is designed to work with KVH’s mini-VSAT Broadband satellite network.
