PROVIDENCE – Sandra Coletta, the president and CEO of Kent Hospital and the chief operating officer of Care New England – has been selected to serve as the 2013 chair of the “Go Red for Women” campaign in southern New England, a major fundraising effort by the American Heart Association.
Coletta will lead the organization’s appeal to local businesses and community leaders in support of the “Go Red for Women” luncheon, to be held Feb. 15, 2013, at the R.I. Convention Center. The luncheon focuses on raising awareness of heart disease in women while at the same time rising funds for the American Heart Association.
“The ‘Go Red for Women’ luncheon is an opportunity for local executives and community leaders to come together in support of the fight against the No. 1 killer of women,” Coletta said. “I feel honored to help the American Heart Association raise funds and empower women to take charge of their heart health.”
