Kent to host open house for center

WARWICK – Kent Hospital will hold a community open house to celebrate the grand opening of its new, state-of-the-art ambulatory service center on May 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The new surgery center has 28 oversized pre- and post-operative bays for a patient’s preparation and recovery, according to hospital officials.
The waiting room offers free Wi-Fi, a café, and monitors so friends and family can privately track a patient’s progress.
The surgery center is equipped with eight surgery suites, five expansive and three smaller rooms, designed specifically for endoscopic technology and interventional spine procedures.
The design of the facility allows easy access from every room to the central surgical core. The surgery center is connected directly to Kent’s full service acute care facility in the event a patient needs to be brought to the main hospital for further care, according to hospital officials.
