WARWICK – Candescent Eye Management, a group of eye-care providers located in southeastern New England, announced Monday that it will now operate under the name Claris Vision.

Claris Vision – which comprises 12 eye-care facilities and two surgical centers in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, including Koch Eye Associates in Warwick and Seacoast Eye Associates in Wakefield – adopted the new name and stylized eye logo to convey its new brand theme of “creating a clear picture of a healthy and happy you.”

“Our mission is to bring together the best in vision care to help people to see, feel and look their very best throughout their lifetime,” said Lynne Rosen, CEO of Claris Vision, in a release. “Building on the strong history and medical expertise of our first acquisition, Koch Eye Associates in Rhode Island, we’ve added talented medical professionals through the acquisitions of Eye Health Vision, Seacoast Eye Associates and, most recently, Southcoast Eye Care.”

The new name, Claris Vision, was derived from the word “clarity,” the company said, and is intended to evoke clearness in perception and understanding as well as the ultimate mission of the company – visual clarity. The color spectrum is a central thematic element of the Claris Vision brand, a reference both to visual perception and to the spectrum of services offered by Claris Vision’s eye-care providers.

The branding strategy, created by Feinstein Kean Healthcare of Cambridge, Mass., will go into effect immediately, with signage and advertising changes at Claris Vision’s locations in southeastern Massachusetts and select Rhode Island locations. All Koch Eye Associates locations will retain their current brand, due to the strong brand equity associated with the Koch name in Rhode Island, according to a spokeswoman for Claris Vision.

Claris Vision is backed by Candescent Partners private-equity firm, as well as Eagle Private Capital LLC, First New England Capital, Bay Capital, Pine Street Capital Partners and Plexus Capital.
